Welcome to Life bridge sanctuary, a green retreat center nestled on 95 acres of beauty, privacy, and quiet, with a panoramic view of the Catskill Mountains, offering gracious accommodations in a variety of meeting spaces.

The handcrafted green building is available to residential groups of up to 34, and day-use groups of up to 50. The main meeting room the Upper Room is perfectly suited for group reflections, creative thinking, and meaningful conversations that can change the world.

Lifebridge Sanctuary is now owned and operated by Hero’s Journey® Foundation. We provide experiential learning opportunities by living through the myth of the Hero’s Journey® and following this myth as a vehicle for human development and transformation.

We support individuals and groups in the pursuit and awakening of their own unrealized potential.

Set amidst 95 acres of Hudson Valley woodland, the Lifebridge Sanctuary retreat center offers a unique place for organizational workshops, gatherings, milestone celebrations, strategic planning sessions, and educational meetings, as well as a haven for board or staff retreats. 

Lifebridge Sanctuary’s buildings are created with creativity, mindfulness, and devotion to detail. The original Dutch Stone House of 1726 was thoughtfully restored and enhanced with 21st-century green building features to become the building you experience today.  

We welcome you to join us at this intentionally designed sanctuary, offering an ideal, private setting for participants to engage in transformational work of all kinds, from yoga retreats to group work, held in a nature-based setting.

Group Space

The Sanctuary offers a rich variety of distinctive spaces for group gatherings, many with spectacular views.

Our 1800 sq. ft. Upper Room offers panoramic mountain views, a large stone fireplace, and versatile seating options to accommodate large gatherings.

We also have break-out areas, including CedarHeart Lodge – a fantastic stone-walled room with a fireplace, and The Stone House Library with a piano and an extensive collection of spiritual and social transformation books.

Chef’s Kitchen

The Sanctuary offers a 900-square-foot bright and spacious Kitchen facility to our guests.

The Kitchen is designed to enhance the group dynamic by sharing and preparing meals together. 

Skylights, ample windows, and large fireplace create a feeling of warmth and hospitality at any meal time

The Sanctuary Dining Room is 600 sq. ft and accommodates up to 40 guests. As the season permits, dining can be enjoyed outdoors on our hand-crafted stone patio; which seats up to 30 guests, 780 sq. ft.

For larger day conferences CedarHeart Lodge can be set up for dining to seat 60 guests for sit-down or buffet-style meals. This can be combined with dining in the Kitchen and Dining Room.

We also offer access to some of the Hudson Valley’s best chefs and catering companies specializing in a wide variety of culinary preferences – from gourmet vegetarian to Classical American cuisine. All focus on the seasonality of the rich community farms and agriculture the Hudson River Valley is famous for.

Accommodation

Lifebridge Sanctuary can sleep 36 guests. Guests can be accommodated in the Sanctuary building’s Stone House rooms or Mountain View Rooms, or a short walk away in the Garden House. 

Stone House

Talking Stone – sleeps up to 2 guests with their own full private bath
Corner Stone room offers generous views of the Catskills, sleeps up to 4 guests, and includes a full private bath.

Mountain View House

Northern Bedroom – sleeps 3 guests with a full private bath.
Southern Bedroom -sleeps 3 guests and has a full bath with handicap access.
If needed, Sunset Alcove sleeps 2 with shared bathroom access of Northern or Southern rooms – full access to Mountain View Deck.

Garden House

A separate house with mountain views a minute’s walk from the Sanctuary main building.
In total – 8 bedrooms and 4 baths. Complete with a common room with a kitchenette.
